FAQs

  • We are based in North London and proudly cover a wide range of locations across London covering North & North West London, providing marquee and event services for clients throughout London and beyond.

  • To secure your booking, we only require a 20% non-refundable deposit, which can be paid via card or bank transfer. This is one of the lowest deposits in the industry, as many companies typically ask for deposits between 35%-50%.

The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before your marquee setup date.

    Holding Deposit Option

If you're not ready to confirm your booking yet, you can pay a refundable £100 holding deposit to reserve the marquee for your desired date. The holding deposit is valid for 7 days, during which you have two options:

    1. Continue with the booking by paying the remainder of the 20% deposit to secure your reservation.

    2. Receive a refund of your £100 holding deposit.

  • At Ascend Marquees, we operate seven days a week to ensure that your event runs smoothly, no matter the day of the week. Whether it's a weekday setup or weekend installation, our dedicated team is ready to assist you.

Once your deposit is paid, you'll be provided with your installation date. We'll confirm your de-rig date 1-2 weeks before your event, once our schedule is finalised.

  • A marquee itself will not damage your lawn. However, to offer additional protection for your grass, we recommend using hard flooring and carpet. This not only helps protect your lawn from being trampled by foot traffic (such as 60 people walking around throughout the event), but also ensures the surface remains in great condition.

Our unique hard flooring system is different from many other companies. Unlike traditional flooring, our system doesn't have weight-bearing supports that dig into the grass. It also features small holes that allow air to circulate, helping the grass stay healthy.

  • Hard Flooring & Carpet

To create a firm, dry surface and prevent moisture from seeping through, hard flooring and carpet are essential. This is recommended for both hard surfaces like patios and grass sites. The flooring also acts as an insulator, helping to retain heat and keep the ground comfortable.

    Linings

Marquee linings serve as an extra layer, improving the thermal efficiency of the structure. They help retain warmth, making the space cozier for your guests.

    Heaters

Our automated diesel heating systems are designed to ensure that your marquee remains at a comfortable, ambient temperature, regardless of how cold it is outside. This guarantees a warm, welcoming environment for your guests throughout the event.

  • A gazebo is typically a domestic-rated product, made from lightweight plastic covers and thin metal or plastic poles. While gazebos are suitable for short-term use, they offer limited protection in wet weather and are generally rated for wind speeds of up to 15-20mph. Most gazebos available for hire or purchase for under £500 are single-use structures in windy conditions, as the poles often snap. This can present a safety hazard, especially if your event is taking place in unpredictable weather.

On the other hand, marquees are commercial-grade structures designed for long-term and reliable use. They are fully watertight and can withstand wind speeds of up to 60mph, making them a far more secure choice for your event, no matter the weather conditions.

Marquees are typically taller than gazebos, with the option to attach them to a building if necessary. Their internal linings and flooring systems are of a much higher quality, offering both comfort and durability far beyond what a gazebo can provide.

Because of their superior framework and more complex setup, commercial marquees require an experienced installation team to ensure safety and stability, especially in the face of the UK's unpredictable weather.
